Deep-Water Rubble Deposition Management System

When constructing an artificial submarine “mountain range” in deep water offshore, accurate prediction of the deposit shape of blocks and stone materials dropped from stone transport barges and dropping at the correct position are important challenges.

To overcome these problems, Toyo Construction newly developed a Deposit Shape Prediction Technology, Deposition Plan Preparation Technology, Barge Position Guidance Technology, and Deposit Shape Measurement Technology. By combining these element technologies, the company constructed a Toyo original construction management system and realized highly accurate construction.

Deep-Water Rubble Deposition Management System

Features

  • Because analysis is possible by setting the specifications of the stone transport barge, the material to be deposited, and the deposition depth, this Toyo Construction system enables extremely accurate prediction of the deposit shape for every construction job.
  • The ship position guidance system can guide the stone transport barge accurately to the drop point by simultaneously guiding the barge and auxiliary vessels.
  • Use of the Deposition Plan Preparation System enables sure construction by reviewing the construction plan on the day after construction, based on daily construction results.
  • Measurements using various surveying instruments enable prediction the effects of tidal currents, etc. on blocks and stone materials dropped into the sea until they arrive at the sea bottom, thus making it possible to correct the drop point on a timely basis.
