Deterioration Diagnosis/Repair Planning System

Because coastal structures and port and harbor structures are exposed to severe salt-damage environments and are used for many years, appropriate maintenance is necessary. This system judges the degree of deterioration, mainly from the results of visual inspections of external appearance, and forecasts the progress of deterioration. LCC (Life Cycle Cost) calculations and assessments can be made by setting various repair scenarios as desired, and the optimum maintenance and repair plan is proposed, incorporating the concept of asset management.

Deterioration Diagnosis/Repair Planning System

Features

  • Deterioration progress forecast/repair plans can be drafted based only on a simple visual inspection of external appearance.
  • Because deterioration progress is forecast by using a Markov chain, it is possible to predict the future progress of deterioration based on the deterioration rate up to the present time.
  • Based on the deterioration progress forecast, LCC can be calculated and assessed under various repair scenarios, and an efficient repair plan can be drafted.
  • In maintenance of multiple facilities, repair plans can be drafted corresponding to the importance and budget of each facility.
