(Head Office: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo, Representative Director,<br \/>\nChairperson and CEO: Shinya Yoshida) is excited to announce that the launching ceremony<br \/>\n(*1) of the self-propelled cable laying vessel constructed by Vard Group AS (Head Office:<br \/>\nNorway, COO: Erik Sandnes) was held on June 27 at the Vard shipyard in Romania. The<br \/>\nvessel will proceed to the full-scale outfitting process (*2) by first completing the initial<br \/>\noutfitting in Romania by the end of September 2025, and then it will be transported to Norway<br \/>\nfor secondary outfitting and comprehensive test runs. The construction of the ship is<br \/>\nprogressing smoothly toward delivery at the end of June 2026.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>*1: In shipbuilding, this is the process of putting a newly built ship assembled on a<br \/>\nshipbuilding platform into the water for the first time.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>*2: This is the final stage of the shipbuilding process, after the hull has been completed, in<br \/>\nwhich cable laying equipment, cargo handling equipment, and interior and exterior fittings<br \/>\nare installed.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The launching ceremony was attended by numerous guests, including representatives from<br \/>\nour company, Vard Group, the Japanese Embassy in Romania, ClassNK, and the JETRO<br \/>\nBucharest Office.
